This new Census Of Hallucinations album although culled from archive recordings actually plays and delivers as though it was a brand new album. The sequencing, production and remastering has been so thoughtfully done that this album sounds like a very fresh and invigorating piece of work that is perhaps more current than ever.
Evocative, dark and surreal. This is an uncompromising experimental work that features John Simms from Clear Blue Sky, Maxine Marten and James Jones as well as the usual mainstays. It's an intoxicating and engaging listen with beautiful expressive jazz tinged moments along with progressive elements and barbed poetic imagery.
