Finally the long awaited reissue of Census of Hallucinations 2012 seminal album "Dragonian Days" is here with four previously unreleased bonus tracks and wonderful new packaging. The CD reissue is here and it's also available in all of the usual streaming and download sites.
Census of Hallucinations have had a reputation for delivering their own brand of psychedelic, progressive spacerock with a social conscience and a political element. One of the important voices of the British underground music scene. We are in the process of reissuing their catalogue and some of the other key releases from the Stone Premonitions collective. Find out more about Census of Hallucinations here and the fascinating history of Stone Premonitions can be discovered here The YouTube video above is for one of the tracks from the original release "Ultra Violet". Here's a review of the original release ... Dragonian Days is a breath of fresh air. The production is absolutely fantastic; the guitar playing is some of the best I've heard for a long while and Paddi is his wicked self... simply awesome drumming. 'Census' is a Kalashnikov held up against the hokum, snake oil and hollow rhetoric of socio-economic politics; percussively and successfully blasting away the half-truths, false promises and sepia-tinted 'values' from soulless glossy presidential propaganda and spinmongering fed into our everyday existence.A tour de force of good over evil, but retaining an evil edge to the music. I vote for more of this insightful, honest wickedness - it certainly does what is says on the tin. (Reviewed by John Birch, Author of the book 'DESIRE: Paddy McAloon's Prefab Sprout') |
ArchiveThese pages represent my best attempt at a musical journal, travelogue, archive record of my musical landscape and everything I have been involved in over the years. It features celebrated projects to undeveloped ideas, sketchpad moments, memories and general stuff that has been part of my creative endeavours and the Falling A Records story. I am attempting to place things in chronological order though as time passes and I trawl the crates in my loft, I am discovering that my record keeping has been quite vague at times. Please feel free to interact and correct where necessary. The page also serves as the archive page for the website and is where we post our various announcements etc., Archives
