(Cliff Richard & The Shadows cover)
Rare, rather chaotic and calamitous cover by from Two Headed Emperor from Radio session #4 which was broadcast in January
Many thanks to Raiders FM, Starship Overflow, Magic Music Box, The Reverend Rabbit Show and many others.
A fantastic day of mayhem, where we recorded three tracks in a rush just like the old days when studio time was a precious commodity.
Nowadays time itself is the precious commodity but we won't go there as that's a whole other rabbit hole that I don't have time to get into ...(aaaahhh, the irony).
We decided to reimagine the first single that was billed as Cliff Richard & The Shadows to mark an important but often overlookied moment in British pop music history. We recorded a number of takes of "Travellin' Light" and "Dynamite" A and B side respectively.
Everything was recorded in the inimitable 侘寂 style of Two Headed Emperor. We then took the parts from all the takes and created something of a sound collage of bits of the two songs juxtaposed together which we called "Cliff in a Blender". There will be a video for that track in March. That was my personal favourite from the session.
We have two albums in the latter stages of recording both with well known guests as collaborators, expect them late Spring / early Summer. In the mean time please enjoy these sketchpad moments :-)
