Aquarians comprise of three musicians having birthdays within three days of each other in the astrological sign of Aquarius. Tim Jones, singer/guitarist has played in lots of different bands over the years but started off in new wave band Neon in the late 1970s.

When Neon split after releasing a couple of 7” singles on Sensible Records and Radar Records respectively, he did a short stint in North East legends Punishment Of Luxury or Punilux for short (including a fantastic gig at the original Marquee Club in London).

Alongside Tim and occupying the drum stool is Steve Robson (aka Steve Sekrit) who has played in Punilux for many years now and featured on their LP Laughing Academy and 7” singles on United Artists. There is a lot of interest in Punishment Of Luxury right now with the recent release of their 5 CD box set on Cherry Red Records and Steve’s wonderful playing features throughout the set.

Another link up here in that Tim Jones also played in Brian Bond’s Punching Holes in the early 1980s, Brian being the singer in Punilux. An LP is currently being manufactured featuring Punching Holes’ most popular songs for release on ZX Records in January 2020. The third Aquarian, namely Chris Oddy on bass guitar did a stint in The Humblebums at one point and has played in many
bands since then. He also provides backing vocals for a collection of Tim Jones’ songs that make up The Aquarians CD.

All of the tracks on The Aquarians are performed live in the studio and are being lovingly released on the innovative Falling A record label for the first time.

These pages represent my best attempt at a musical journal, travelogue, archive record of my musical landscape and everything I have been involved in over the years. It features celebrated projects to undeveloped ideas, sketchpad moments, memories and general stuff that has been part of my creative endeavours and the Falling A Records story. I am attempting to place things in chronological order though as time passes and I trawl the crates in my loft, I am discovering that my record keeping has been quite vague at times. Please feel free to interact and correct where necessary. The page also serves as the archive page for the website and is where we post our various announcements etc.,
It's very much a work in progress.
