Okay, here's the semi official introduction to the 62nd Gramophone Company.
What is it?
At the moment it is the vehicle serving as a record label for Miniatures 2020. It may evolve into other projects, the likelihood is that it will but that is by no means certain since the founders are all involved in other projects as well. Ideas have casually been thrown about which range from other tribute album projects to other collaborative projects but for now the focus is firmly on delivering Miniatures 2020 onto an unsuspecting public and then supporting it's formative months before consigning it to catalogue as part of the Miniatures legacy.
Who is it?
As pictured above top to bottom Al Davies (sometimes known as Big Al Davies), William Hayter and myself. Collaboratively we are the founders of the 62nd Gramophone Company.
The Logo
The logo and imagery is Al's work.
Could there be a 62nd Gramophone Company band?
It wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility but like I say, we are all busy doing other stuff.
When is Miniatures 2020 going to be released?
We are expecting it to be out in January. We are awaiting the artwork and comprehensive booklet to be completed. The album has already been mastered and is ready to go. It sounds amazing.
