RIP Keith Levene. So saddened to hear of Keiths passing. He was part of our extended musical family between 2008-09. This picture was taken in July 2008 at Keiths place during the "Murder Global sessions", which was one of a couple of projects that we were working on at the time. We were also mapping out what was to eventually become a revisted version of "The Commercial Zone" and a reimagining of "Metal Box" under the name of "Titanium Box".
We had some long walks and deep talks around London Fields and Victoria Park and for a brief moment in time found a synergy that fuelled an expansive melting pot of creative energy.
It was never the easiest of relationships but it was honest and there was mutual respect for what we each brought to the table. Shame we never got to release all of the finished work. There are dribs and drabs out there on unofficial releases but the finished project could have been so much more.
So sad to hear the news today. He was a musical legend who influenced so many with his distinctive sheet metal guitar sound.
