“Observations of Istanbul” my 10th solo album, will be released this year. It was partly recorded in Istanbul, partly recorded in my home studio and the final mixing was completed at Falling A studio #1 with production and engineering by Peter Ashby. I attempted to capture the atmosphere of Istanbul whilst there last March. My experience was one that blended the laid-back culture, the hustling of tourists from market and street traders, stray dogs and some civil unrest. It has more of an Eastern feel that the rather Germanic cassette culture feel of the predecessor and the first to feature the Suzuki Q Chord and my new wind synth.
