Neon were part of the Punk/New Wave explosion that shook the
UK music scene from 1976 to 1979.
Following the release of Punk 45: I'm A Mess! D-I-Y or Die! Art,
Trash & Neon - Punk 45's In The UK 1977 – 1978 released
through Soul Jazz Records in 2022, there has been renewed
interest in Neon.
The band released two 7” singles. The first was the “Bottles” EP,
released on Sensible Records with the follow up “Don’t Eat
Bricks” released on Radar Records and produced by Martin
Rushent of Stranglers/Human League fame.
Neon also performed a session for The John Peel Show on BBC
Radio 1 and recorded enough material for an LP at that time but
unfortunately, it was never released. Until now…
