Bringers of Change usher in the return of Stone Premonitions under the Falling A Records umbrella.
This excellent album is no mere feint tipping of the hat to the masters of progressive and space rock. The Bringers of Change are certainly influenced by what's gone before but are current, relevant, beautifully melodic whilst at the same time being deeply incisive and edgy.
Poignant soul stirring lyrics and the excellent guitar work of John Simms (Clear Blue Sky) underpin a brilliant creative work that stands head and shoulders above the mainstream and really quite peerless.
I first met Tim in the early 80's. We had nothing much but a shared vision of musical possibilities. He recorded "Prisoners of the real world" for our label which was still in it's infancy.
It is touching and fitting that this song, as well as "Why we do" are revisited on this new album which is up there among the best of Tim's work and I am very proud to be connected once more.
The Bringers of Change feature the familiar collaborative partnership of Tim and Mark Dunn who have worked together since those halcyon days of the late 70's (in Neon) and continued through the various incarnations of Somebody Famous, the Rabbits Hat, Body Full of Stars and most recently Census of Hallucinations.
