The band were formed as a metamorphosis of celebrated New Wave band Neon featuring all four of their original members along with Terri~B, Paul Ellis & Yazuko Fukuoka.
Between Neon and Body Full Of Stars, Tim Jones had been in Punishment Of Luxury and Martin Holder had been playing guitar in Jah Wobble's band. You can hear their respective influences on the sound. However, the musical inspiration is drwn from a much broader pool.
David Gimour style guitar meets the tribal rhythms of Santana and Osibisa with incredible vocals that are at times soulful and occasionally have more of a folk quality not a million miles away from Caravan's Richard Sinclair. The lyrics reveal a depth of social awareness and environmental concern.
Body Full Of Stars delivered two excellent albums which are now deleted. This new collection plugs that void.
