We gave Tim Jones (Radio Mi Amigo, River Gibbs FM, Stone Premonitions) an early mix of the Two Headed Emperor debut album and he kindly wrote a review for us with the proclamation worthy of the entrance of an emperor! Here it is ...

The Two Headed Emperor
"The Happy Medium And A Depressed Conjurer"

A contemporary classic, The Happy Medium & A Depressed Conjurer by English Progressive Rockers The Two Headed Emperor is truly something to behold. Wearing their influences on their sleeve and weaving their way into our psyche, The Two Headed Emperor makes me think of bands creating music that truly meant something in decades gone by. To name but a few, this album reminded me at times of Genesis, Peter Hammill & Van der Graaf Generator, King Crimson, Egg, Soft Machine, The Fall, Captain Beefheart, Faust, Can, etc etc. Think of the best aspects of these bands, fused together with a New Wave edge and it will give you some idea of where The Two Headed Emperor is coming from. The implementation of new technology enhancing ideas of old is admirable and superbly executed. Lyrically excellent, most definitely contemporary and topical. Quite simply, an astonishing achievement, positively brimming over with ideas and musical concepts from Barry Lamb & Peter Ashby. Falling A Records is the label to look out for right now, promoting music in a contemporary setting, connected to the best of our rock music heritage.

These pages represent my best attempt at a musical journal, travelogue, archive record of my musical landscape and everything I have been involved in over the years. It features celebrated projects to undeveloped ideas, sketchpad moments, memories and general stuff that has been part of my creative endeavours and the Falling A Records story. I am attempting to place things in chronological order though as time passes and I trawl the crates in my loft, I am discovering that my record keeping has been quite vague at times. Please feel free to interact and correct where necessary. The page also serves as the archive page for the website and is where we post our various announcements etc.,
It's very much a work in progress.
