the insane picnic were no strangers to making appearances in the underbelly of the music press. Melody Maker particularly were fond of them, giving them their first mainstream music press review and later giving them a small feature on the release of "Magistrates & Saints".

Following the success of his first album "Anna Ford's Bum" and his subsequent appearances as "The Hard" on Channel 4's iconic "The Tube", the legendary Wavis O'Shave re emerged in 1982, under the name Foffo Spearjig, delivering an album for Falling A Records entitled "Texican Raveloni (Bedside Songs For Problem Children)". He also contributed a bespoke version of "The Hard" for the Falling A comedy cassette "Up The Yama Yama". This single from the "Texican Raveloni" album has become a bit of a collectors item. The album marked the beginning of a long standing relationship with Falling A, producing many collaborations and mysterious cameo appearances.

ArchiveThese pages represent my best attempt at a musical journal, travelogue, archive record of my musical landscape and everything I have been involved in over the years. It features celebrated projects to undeveloped ideas, sketchpad moments, memories and general stuff that has been part of my creative endeavours and the Falling A Records story. I am attempting to place things in chronological order though as time passes and I trawl the crates in my loft, I am discovering that my record keeping has been quite vague at times. Please feel free to interact and correct where necessary. The page also serves as the archive page for the website and is where we post our various announcements etc., Archives
