Originally released in 2001 and now available for the first time in digital territory, Krom Lek's album "Collective Conscious" offers a remarkable fusion of diverse influences that will captivate fans of Krautrock, Hawkwind, Amon Duul 2, Steve Hillage, Ozric Tentacles, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Agitation Free, and Can etc etc.

Recorded between 1985 and 1995, this collection showcases the band's heavy, rocking tunes reminiscent of Ozric Tentacles and Hawkwind.

Tracks like "Kromlek," "Picking Rooms," "Earth Of Illusion," and "Earth Jam" feature riffing guitars, flutes, synths, and energetic rhythms that break the sound barrier.

The album also delves into trippier territory with songs like "Secrets Of The Maze," "Step In Time," and "Collective Conscious," which draw inspiration from Gong's heavier and spacier sound.
The infusion of Indian ragas, flutes, didgeridoo, tablas, and chants in tracks like "The Sun Shines Through" and "Day Tuna Part 2" adds a mystical and ethereal dimension to the album.

With its cohesive blend of styles and impressive musicianship, "Collective Conscious" always had the potential to rival the popularity of renowned bands like Ozric Tentacles and Hawkwind but somehow stayed just below the radar. It serves as both a fantastic representation of Krom Lek's discography and an excellent starting point for newcomers to discover this excellent musical legacy.
