Prepare to embark on a sonic journey like no other as Falling A Records and Diplodiscs proudly present the release of not one, but two extraordinary double albums. The masterminds behind this groundbreaking project, Two Headed Emperor and Alessandro Monti, have joined forces to create an immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of musical improvisation to new heights.
In a bold departure from conventional approaches, Barry Lamb, Peter Ashby, and Alessandro Monti embarked on a creative experiment that would shape the very fabric of their collaboration. With each musician crafting stems placed into 25 numbered folders, the stage was set for an extraordinary process of musical alchemy. Absent of specific instructions, the artists independently composed 25 tracks, utilizing at least one stem from each musician within every folder. The result? Three sets of 25 tracks, born from the same ingredients yet possessing distinct identities that intertwine harmoniously.
"We Are Not On The Moon Yet" manifests in two captivating versions, showcasing the individual artistic visions of the creators. Two Headed Emperor's English iteration, skillfully curated by Peter Ashby under the project direction of Barry Lamb, unveils a sonic tapestry that bears the hallmarks of their unique sound. Simultaneously, Alessandro Monti and Two Headed Emperor present the Italian version, a testament to Alessandro's singular perspective on the tracks.
