During lock down Alison Cowie, the singer from Beloved Alice, continued to write new tracks and re visit some tracks previously recorded and decided to call this "Project Alice". An eclectic collection of songs, all home recorded, were put together creating the ‘Illusions Of Existence’ album. Tracks written with Dave Sharp and Nicklas Löfstrand are also included on the album and add something special to the mix. Tim Jones from Stone Premonitions produced the album and created the sound of "Project Alice" through his engine-earing. The finished result is a textured, thought provoking and evocative sound that has a surprise around every twist and turn taking you on a musical journey.
The Band 'Beloved Alice' started out as a duo early 2018 , creating a sound that mixed dark undertones, catchy guitar riffs and ethereal vocals. Blacky Blackburn joined the line up in January 2019 adding his unique punk influenced sound and tribal beats to the mix. The sound was instantly lifted and the sound scope moved to another level. A new full band line up are currently in the studio recording a new album which they are hoping to have completed, ready for release in 2021.
