- Census Of Hallucinations - The Nine (CD)
I didn't know anything about the Englishmen Census of Hallucinations, until the day Tim Jones (vocals) sent me some releases. They consist, except Jones, by Kevin Hodge (guitar), John Simms (guitar, keyboards), Mark Dunn (bass), Paddi (drums) and Maxine Marten (vocals). There have several releases, while they record for the label managed by Jones, Stone Premonitions. Their music is full of progressive references, some psych elements distinguished in the songs, while some songs transmitting a dreamy mood, the main influence, at least on this album are the Pink Floyd of the 70s. They have some excellent songs such as cold as trout, timelessness, the truth inverted and the top of them all and the darkest of the album, delivering the goods! I don’t know, but listening to the Census of Hallucinations felt that the Van Der Graaf Generator and the Porcupine Tree flows in every song. Listen to them!
