It's been a slow start to the year for us at Falling A records, largely due to a complex array of external commitments and the thorns of life. However, here's the first release of 2025. This is a retrospective collection of the project that is Paradox One. Restored, remastered and resequenced tracks from the career spanning catalogue that has delivered some mind expending progressive music and spacerock over the past 25 years! The Falling A / Bandcamp release contains one exclusive track that will not be in the digital stores when it is released into the digital territories in a couple of weeks. It also features an unedited version of one of the other tracks. PARADOX ONE - DIMENSIONS OF PARADOX ONE Paradox One's Dimensions of Paradox One is a retrospective compilation celebrating the project's 25th anniversary, curated by founder Phil Jackson. This collection offers listeners a journey through the evolution of Paradox One's sound, blending space rock, ambient electronica, and progressive elements. Tracks like "Reality Quake" and "Escalators to Mars" exemplify Jackson's mastery of analog synths and atmospheric compositions, drawing comparisons to pioneers such as Tangerine Dream and Hawkwind. The album not only showcases Jackson's musical versatility but also features collaborations with artists like guitarist John Simms and vocalist Martine Marten, adding depth to the sonic landscape. Critics have lauded Paradox One's work, with Aural Innovations highlighting the "spacey and symphonic ELP-styled prog rock with great melodies and skillful electronic percussion." Dimensions of Paradox One serves as both an introduction for new listeners and a comprehensive anthology for long-time fans, encapsulating the project's innovative contributions to the progressive music scene over the past quarter-century. |
ArchiveThese pages represent my best attempt at a musical journal, travelogue, archive record of my musical landscape and everything I have been involved in over the years. It features celebrated projects to undeveloped ideas, sketchpad moments, memories and general stuff that has been part of my creative endeavours and the Falling A Records story. I am attempting to place things in chronological order though as time passes and I trawl the crates in my loft, I am discovering that my record keeping has been quite vague at times. Please feel free to interact and correct where necessary. The page also serves as the archive page for the website and is where we post our various announcements etc., Archives
